Helpful, useful and worth looking at

Though I have not read the book in its entirety, I was very impressed with the chapters I read. In leading several weeks' discussion on sexuality with mainly middle schoolers, I found the responses in the book to be appropriate and helpful. Seeing the questions helps me to "get into" the minds of the kids with whom I work, and the answers, of course, gave me good responses. After the fact, I learned that 3 of the youth enjoyed a church worship service more than ever before when they took the (borrowed) book with them. That helped me see their curiosity and the necessity of providing positive resources for them, so I plan to save up and purchase the book to make it available to them on a continual basis.
Open communication with kids on the topic of sex and sexuality is so important; this book is a great way to teach them indirectly, or directly--by going through it with them. They'll see that their questions are quite normal, and they'll have solid answers on which to base their behavior.
It encourages conservative sexual behavior, but says, too, that the choice is the individual's.
