Passed the Sergeant's Test

My husband bought this book along with a few others to study for the Philadelphia Sergeant's Exam. This book was easy to read and had some really good points in it. This could have been worse

This book is not well written; it needs a lot of editing. When it says "common sense police supervision," it means it. If your friends think you are a moron and have no common sense, this book is a must read. However, if you have any sense of the reality that surrounds you, don't bother.

Much better then most of the "required texts"

Anyone who has studied for the police supervision exams is forced to read the "required texts" Iannone, Swanson or Miller, Much of the information tends to be dated even though they keep issuing new editions. I found that Common Sense Police Supervision provided a good amount of new information that I used when I first became a supervisor.
