Interesting book about an interesting man.

E. Howard Hunt is one of the most bizare figures in American history. Hunt is quite candid about a number of areas, particularly with his involvment in the "plumber's unit" and the subsequent watergate break-ins. In other instances, such as his role in setting up the Bay of Pigs invasion, he is less candid. The biggest disappointment was the lack of any information relevent to the accusations that have been made involving him in the assassination of JFK. Nevertheless, any book about this CIA agent, bestselling novelist, WWII veteran, Watergate convict, Bay of Pigs architect, and possible JFK conspirator, is bound to be interesting.

A concise in-depth presentation of manipulative persons in the prison system. The book is factual in describing behavior and accurate in suggestions for handling manipulative behavior. The suggestions can also be applied in any situation where a highly manipulative person is encountered. The book is easy to read and free of clinical jargon. The book would be of benefit to teachers and therapist who encounter difficult to manage children and clients.

Wonderfully concise and written in a structurally sound format often lost in much writing. Each chapter ends with a very brief review with a couple take-aways. Though the book was written for detention or correctional facilities, I've found the material perfect for law enforcement, psychiatric facilities, firefighting and emergency medical responders. Though the author uses a Christian perspective, compared to the hundreds of books I have read from this perspective, this author didn't fail to include sound research and substantive practices. Great references and good summary chart in the back of the book.

The book is great but i recommend the hardcover. the paperback will fall apart as soon as you start using it. My professor, my cohort members, and myself have witnessed it falling apart within the first 2 weeks of using it. Ive had it for about a month and its barely holding up.
